I don't like the main character committing suicide because he lost everything he ever had, I mean he could at least call his wife and explain what happened and then search the killer and destroy him. If you're trying to show the watcher you'd better kill yourself when you're depressive or lost your wife, when she abandoned you by immediately trusting the police's story, then it's kinda stupid and wrong.
